Lennard-Jones Holdings

A science holding company

Patient capital, held in equilibrium.

We hold and steward companies working at the intersection of chemistry, biology, agriculture, and human health — built for the long term.

About

Named for a balance of forces.

V(r) = 4ε [ (σ/r)12 − (σ/r)6 ]

The Lennard-Jones potential, introduced by physicist John Lennard-Jones in 1924, describes how two neutral molecules interact: a gentle attraction at a distance and a strong repulsion up close. Between them sits a point of stable equilibrium.

Chemistry is the common thread. From the compounds inside a seed to the molecules that shape how we age, our companies work where chemistry meets biology — using data and AI to understand how molecules interact with living systems, and turning that understanding into real products.

Lennard-Jones Holdings is built on the same principle. Our companies stay independent, each with its own team and focus, while drawing on shared capital, governance, and scientific insight. We hold them close enough to compound together, but never so close that they lose their edge.
